Giving yourself a little TLC every now in then is something that's much needed. While going to a professional spa may sound like your fantasy, it might not agree with your wallet. What if you could take an afternoon or night off, and create your own at-home spa experience? From taking a hot bath with the right products to doing a mask, here are a few tips for you to consider.

Take a Hot Bath

Let's face it, when you are working full time or taking care of kids full time, you're lucky to get a five minute shower every other day, but a bath is an absolute luxury. Nothing is quite as relaxing as sitting in a hot bath full of natural bath products like bubbles, bath bombs, or oils. Try to really enjoy your time in a hot tub and do things like listen to calming music, burn some candles, ask for privacy, and use some bath products that will calm your senses and hydrates your skin.

Some of the best natural bath products to use are those with essential oils in them like eucalyptus, mint, or lavender. As soon as you get out of the bath, you may be so relaxed that you may just want to lay in bed and call it a night, but not before you do a few more relaxing things.

Do a  Mask

All-natural face masks are all the rage right now. Depending on your skin's concern, one type of mask may have more benefits for you over another. For instance, mud masks are great at unclogging pores and helping with acne. Whereas hyaluronic based face masks are good for hydrating the skin and helping with anti-aging. Before you do a face mask, make sure that it won't conflict with any other skin products or medications that you are using like retinol or Accutane.

In addition to doing a face mask, you may want to try a body mask. Body masks are great at helping restore moisture to the skin while also detoxifying it and getting rid of impurities. Just make sure that you look for an all-natural skin care product that's designed specifically for the body so that you know it's been tested on the body before.
